HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - With December 1st only Tuesday, wintry temperatures are to be expected, with average highs dipping into the 30s by December 5th. That doesn’t mean we wont’ still have above average days, which appears to be the trend in the next 6-10 days.

Monday morning will start out in the teens with single digit wind chills possible. Lots of sunshine though will help our temps rise to the upper 40s, so still cooler than the weekend, but generally decent for the time period. Tuesday will be a similar story, with a slightly warmer morning low around 20° and highs also in the upper 40s.

Wednesday sees a cold front passage again, with highs falling to the 30s, lows in the 20s. Clouds will take over and there is currently a minimal chance if any for precipitation. The cold air sticks around into Thursday with a high in the upper 30s as well.

By Friday, temperatures recover to a bit above average, and we continue the warming trend into the weekend. Highs for Saturday and Sunday, while still a bit low on confidence, will rise to the 50s, with the guidance currently available.
