KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Kearney man convicted on federal drug and weapons charges will spend decades in prison.
Marcus Navejar, 39, has been sentenced to a total of 35 years in prison for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and for Possession of a Firearm in Connection with a Drug Trafficking Crime.
It was Navejar’s second federal conviction on a drug-related weapons charge.
The U.S Attorney’s office said Omaha police found out that Navejar paid $8,280 in drug money to a person at an Omaha hotel in June 2019. Police arrested him outside that hotel and found him with 16 grams of meth and a handgun. He later admitted that he had dealt five lbs of meth in the weeks before his arrest.
