HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The South Heartland District Health Department reported Monday night that there have been 117 lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past seven days. That number brings the cumulative number of cases in the four-county district to 3,670.

The new confirmed cases for the four-day period include 81 in Adams County, 19 in Clay County, 13 in Nuckolls county and four in Webster County. The cumulative cases for the counties are 2,402 in Adams County, 583 cases in Clay, 387 cases in Nuckolls and 298 in Webster.

SHDHD Director Michele Bever said 250 more individuals have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the past week. According to Nebraska’s plan, Phase 1A will continue until the district has received enough doses to vaccinate the 1A priority groups, which are determined by state-level planners.
