Phelps County woman dies of COVID-19
42 new cases reported Wednesday
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The death of a Phelps County woman has been attributed to COVID-19. The Two Rivers Public Health Department saying the woman was in her 80′s.
In a press release, the department pointed out they delay reports of COVID-19 deaths until research is completed that definitely determines the virus as the cause of death.
The district had previously reported 101 deaths in their seven-county region from COVID-19.
In addition, the district reported 42 new cases in their seven-county service area for Wednesday. Fourteen cases were reported in Buffalo County, along with 12 in Phelps County. Other counties reporting were Dawson County with eight new cases, four in Kearney County, three in Harlan County and one in Franklin County.
