HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Today will be another cool and blustery day, albeit under mostly sunny skies. There are going to be a few upper level clouds that move through from the northwest, but skies shouldn’t be much worse than partly sunny. Chilly temperatures in the morning will remain below average later today. Highs will make it to the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. Northwest winds will become rather blustery at 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight will be another colder night due to clearing skies and the return of lighter winds. Lows will mostly drop into the 20s. Beyond Wednesday, warmer temperatures will be returning for the rest of the week into the weekend. Thursday’s highs will get to the upper 50s to upper 60s from east to west. There will be plenty of sunshine. Winds will become breezy out of the south southeast. Friday sees a return to the 70s along with some breezy winds and sunny skies. Saturday could end out being the nicest day of the forecast period as it’ll be warm and winds will be lighter. Highs will reach the upper 70s and lower 80s under mostly sunny skies.

Easter Sunday could get to the low to mid 80s. Breezy winds will return under mostly sunny skies. We’ll continue to see low to mid 80s Monday and Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and breezy winds.

The only other concern in the coming days will be the continued threat of an elevated fire danger due to strong winds, low relative humidity, and a lack of precipitation.
