KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Fans of country singer Cody Johnson will have to wait to see him in concert. The show that was scheduled for Friday night at the Viaero Center has been canceled.

According to a post on the Viaero Center Facebook page, the show was called off due to a mechanical failure at the Viaero Center, which caused high standing water due to ice melting.

It goes on to say this created a severe safety issue because of the amount of voltage used in order to put on the show.

The venue has decided the safety concerns for patrons, as well as all bands, crews and employees, are too great to proceed with the show.

Johnson shared the news with his fans on social media saying that they have been at the facility since 8 a.m. The gear was set up and ready to go, but the venue had been dealing with the issue all day.

He said he was sorry to his fans and will see them down the road.

All ticket buyers will be refunded at the point of purchase.
