HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The smokey haze will make for another beautiful sunset this evening. Much less humid this afternoon with dew points in the mid 50′s making it a great day to go for a Sunday drive with the top down. Visibility has improved since yesterday with the smoke beginning to lift. Highs for Sunday topped out in the upper 70′s to low 80′s across much of the region.

Overnight tonight temperatures will drop into the mid 50′s with winds out of the northeast at 5 to 10 mph under mostly clear skies. Widespread haze overnight with areas of smoke between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. Hazy conditions will continue into Monday with highs tomorrow reaching the low to mid 80′s. Winds shifting from southwest to southeast around 5 mph.

The “cooler” temperatures will stick around for the first half of this week, although the humidity will climb a bit later in the week. Expect highs much of next week in the mid 80s for a large part of the area. Enjoy the somewhat cooler temperatures while they last because they will ramp back up to the 90′s by the end of the week.
