HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - After a beautiful warm Fall day we will have increasing clouds overnight as a cold front makes its way into the region. Along with increasing cloud cover will come a shift in winds as well. Winds will shift from south at 6 to 8 mph to north early morning in the predawn hours. Low temperatures will drop into the low to mid 50s overnight.

A second cold front will bring increasing northerly winds on Friday that will draw in some cooler air. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy for much of the area. There could be some sprinkles or very light rain, but any beneficial rain is not expected. North winds of 10 to 20 mph will draw in cooler air. Highs will range from the upper 60s north to the lower 80s southwest. Skies will clear up Friday night as temperatures again drop into the 40s. This will be the chilliest night of our forecast for the next seven days.

Beyond Friday, sunshine is expected Saturday through Tuesday. Saturday will be a very nice day with temperatures back into the upper 70s and low to mid 80s (warmest west). Winds will be a bit breezy out of the south southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Sunday will be warmer with highs into the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s. Monday will continue to be quite warm in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Tuesday will still be quite warm with highs between 85° and 90°. It’ll cool down a little on Wednesday with highs in the low to mid 80s. There will be a slight chance for rain. Temperatures will continue to slowly cool down for the rest of the week, getting closer to average by the 1st of October.
