HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A few clouds will remain this evening associated with a warm front creeping in from the west but skies will clear up overnight. This will lead to some chilly temperatures with widespread frost expected. We’ll see lows in the upper 20s and low to mid 30s. A frost advisory will be in affect tomorrow morning for counties along and south of I-80. A freeze warning is posted for counties north of highway 34 and east of 281.

Heading into Friday, it’ll be a nice way to wrap up the work week. There will be plenty of sunshine with some clouds over Northeast Nebraska. Temperatures will warm up with highs ranging from the lower 60s northeast to the mid 70s southwest. Winds won’t be very strong. Look for another chilly night Friday night with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Lows will drop into the 30s and lower 40s.

The weekend will be a little cooler than Friday and there will be more of a breeze. Skies will be partly sunny on Saturday with a breezy east southeast winds of 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will range from the upper 50s north to the lower 70s south. A chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms will increase Saturday evening and overnight. There is a small chance of a little severe weather in our southeastern counties. Some rain may linger into Sunday, but should taper off as the day goes on. Look for cooler temperatures with a breezy north wind. Highs on Sunday will range from the lower 50s northeast to the upper 60s southwest.

Monday will be a pretty quiet day under partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs will range from the upper 50s northeast to the upper 60s southwest. Winds will start to pick up on Tuesday out of the south ahead of the next approaching cold front. Winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts over 30 mph will be common. Meanwhile, it will be warming up with highs ranging from the mid 60s north to the mid 70s south. The cold front will pass through Tuesday night, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon will be a little cooler and breezy. Look for highs on Wednesday mostly in the 60s.
