HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A nonprofit who has been serving central Nebraska for decades has begun its 80th annual campaign.

The United Way of South Central Nebraska’s Executive Director, Jodi Graves said their goal for 2021-2022 is to raise $600,000.

Graves said donated money is an investment in about 20 different nonprofit organizations that have about 45 programs filtering through them in Adams, Clay, Nuckolls and Webster counties.

Some of the donations also help the South Central office serve people through eight of their very own programs.

”They run vital programs in our communities that support that really impact everything from food distribution to GED programs and infants and everything. So the United Way funding is vital to the programs it supports,” said Graves.

The best way to make a donation is through the United Way website.

United Way of South Central Nebraska is accepting donations through January 7, 2022.
