HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Skies will continue to clear up overnight, but on the back edge of the clearing, areas of fog are expected to develop over Central and Eastern Nebraska as well as North Central Kansas. The greatest concentration will be for those counties along the highway 281 corridor where we could see visibility below a quarter of a mile in a few spots. Look for low temperatures tomorrow morning from the upper 20s west to the mid 30s east.

Thursday will feature all day sunshine in western portions of the area. But farther east, the fog may last well into the morning. By the afternoon, skies should become mostly sunny. High temperatures on Thursday will range from the mid 50s east to the mid/upper 60s west. Winds will be a bit breezy out of the south in the afternoon at 10 to 15 mph. Low temperatures Thursday night into Friday morning will dip back into the mid to upper 30s and lower 40s. There may be a few passing clouds. There’s also a chance of more fog developing late in the night, although the chance is lower on Friday morning than on Thursday morning.

On Friday, some potential morning fog will give way to mostly sunny skies. It’ll be a warmer day with high temperatures from the upper 50s east to the lower 70s southwest. South southwest winds will be on the breezier side with some gusts over 25 mph. The weekend is shaping up to be quite nice with mostly sunny skies. High temperatures will warm up into the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s both on Saturday and Sunday. With winds not getting terribly high, it should be about as good as it gets for the first weekend of November.

A few more clouds will move in early next week and temperatures will start to drop a bit. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 50s to mid 60s from north to south. Winds may also be on the breezy side. Look for highs in the mid to upper 50s and lower 60s on Tuesday. The much bigger cool-down comes for the middle and end of next week and may be accompanied by the return of some moisture.
